Why Arncliffe Physiotherapy

Arncliffe Physiotherapy has provided care to the local community for over 35 years. We are part of the local community with a close working relationship with many doctors and sporting clubs from elite to amateur athletes and  in our surrounding areas. We have had the pleasure to return many patients to the things that they choose to do and we intend to continue doing so!

Our philosophy

We love helping our patients achieve what is important to them whether that is pain relief or returning to sport. We will assess you, provide self-management strategies, create short and long term goals and to keep you moving and feeling better quicker and longer!

How do we do this?

Our hands-on individual treatment sessions allows us to complete specific assessments, measure certain movements and strength to discover the cause of your condition. We provide you with our undivided attention every session. Our scientific evidence based consultations are always followed with exercise programs to return you back to work and lifestyle activities you enjoy doing.

How many treatments will I need before I get better?

After a detailed assessment, your physiotherapist will give you an estimate of the number of treatments required for your condition.

This estimate will vary depending on many factors as all clients are different.

We believe an individualised treatment plan gets the best results. We will re-assess at every visit to give you an accurate description of your condition and how it is progressing.

If there is no sign of improvement or progress appears to plateau, treatment plans will be further discussed with you and modified as required.

What does your initial consultation look like?

Your physiotherapist will run through an extensive 30 question initial consultation with you in regard to your injury or condition.

This is followed by a thorough physical examination of your affected area, joints above and below this area, and other functional movements relevant to your condition.

A final diagnosis and the cause of your injury/condition will be explained clearly in absence of medical jargon.

Finally, treatment and an exercise program are provided at the end of the session.
